MORE THAN A STACK OF 2x4S

There's so much going on at Shamineau these days in the facilities department.  Oak Hollow was recently expanded, two ridge cabins getting remodeled and some spaces being captured for housing.  The photo above is from an area in the gym where we needed to build some storage.  At the same time, our camper numbers keep increasing and we are running out of room.  What a great "problem".  However, it is something we need to solve.  So long story short... we are moving summer staff out of some housing that will work great for campers, and creating new spots for summer staff.  So back to the photo... there is a great spot to put some extra bunks until we can build some more housing (more about that to come).  So here is a thank you to a number of people that make these things happen.  To the facilities fellas for all the hard work and juggling projects, to the many volunteers that have come and helped - giving up their time and resources, to those that have helped fund these projects, and to wrap it all up, those who constantly remember to lift this place in prayer.  It really takes a village... or body of believers to make it all come together.  The best part of all of it is this.  It's not just more kids and adults coming to camp.  Not just that we have nicely remodeled buildings, but its all done so that ultimately the Gospel can be shared and people can be discipled.  So it's more than a stack of 2x4s, its not just a wall to an expanded room, its a place where God will be at work.  I look forward to telling you more about those stories as they happen.
