LET'S CATCH YOU UP!

So much going on right now, so let's catch you up!  So yesterday was our annual meeting.  It's fun to report how great things are going here at Shamineau, up at Rock Ridge and around the world with Shamineau International.  

Here at camp, we still have about a foot or so of snow on the ground, had a Retreat46 (4-6 graders) this last weekend and have another one this weekend.  Last weekend we also had a work group here from Lakewood, thanks so much guys!  Others have been involved as well.  Oh it is soooo helpful.  They have come every other weekend for a couple months now.  If you have some willing people that would like to help, please contact us.  Anyway, you can see in the photo they were putting up siding on a couple ridge cabins that we are remodeling.  They are really coming along.  Also bunk bed construction and assembly is still going on.  Our facilities crew along with some volunteers have been knocking out over 40 sets of bunks.  There is also a lot of other facilities stuff going on, they are amazing!  

We constantly track camper numbers to make sure we can plan accordingly, and we appear to be up quite a bit this year.  A number of camps are filling so hustle to get your desired week if you still need to.  The program department is creatively shuffling staff housing around to make more spaces available for campers, which is fantastic!  God is blessing camp, keep praying!

Rock Ridge is also looking great going into the summer.  Lots of guided trips into the Boundary Waters, on site camps and looking long term how to grow.  One need up there for the summer is in the area of maintenance.  If you are gifted in that type of thing and would like to spend anywhere from a week to three months up there, please let us know and we will get you connected.  

Then there is Shamineau International.  After hearing so many crazy God stories over the years, you's think we would get used to it.  But then God does something else and you just stand in awe. The way God has used Shamineau International and the people serving with them is incredible.  Some things I can't share online because of the areas they are in, but man... truly awesome.  A year or so ago, I got to sit in on a meeting where all these stories were being shared of how only God could have orchestrated things that were happening.  They are the kind of stories that give you goosebumps.  I wish I could give you details.  The International team is growing, they are excited for upcoming camps, cool things are happening.  

I think I will have to give you these updates every couple weeks.  So many good things are happening, its hard to mention them all.  As always, please keep us in prayer!
