HANGING OUT WITH MORE CAMP PEOPLE
Media Intern: EH
Today our staff loaded up in 15 different vehicles and made our way to the Brainerd Cub Foods to meet up with the summer staff from Trout Lake Bible Camp. Our "staff families" (a mix of different positions led by a program staff for staff training) combined with a group of their staff pooled our money ($2 each) together and created a meal. We loaded up again and went a mile down the road to a local park, spread out and ate with our new friends. After the meal was over, we spent time getting to know one another and playing games. The love for hammocks, chacos and filler games runs deep in camp culture and we found it easy to relate to the common struggle of sand being absolutely everywhere. Although our are often compared, the similarities are deep and wide. This became more obvious when we started worshiping together. Our love for Christ is our biggest similarity, and by far the most important. It was a great afternoon of hanging out with people that do the exact same thing at a different place.
