LET'S CATCH UP!

What a summer!  With many back to back camps, about 300 more campers than last summer and family camps super packed, it made for quite a summer.  There were so many decisions for Christ, which makes all the long hours very worth while.  Lots of fun had and more memories made than you could imagine.

Summer staff were fantastic!  They always are but this summer was a joy to see them in action.  It was also fun to see some take a new step in their faith and get baptized.  I have been able to talk to a few parents of our summer staff members and they have said how much their kid has grown.  In fact last night one parent told me that their kid came home a whole new person with renewed attitude.  Great to hear, God is at work in many ways!

Saturday we had an all day meeting with our board of directors.  They are so great.  It's really nice because they get it.  They understand camp and the ins and outs, they understand what staff is going through as many of them have been on staff years ago... They just get it.  I am always encouraged by there wisdom and support.  The above photo was taken from the middle of the new property, called North Ridge.  This is our board on a tour through the property, and we stopped to pray over it.  It will truly be exciting to see what God has in store for that land.  

Moving forward we have just a minute to catch our breath, although camp never stops.  Pretty much every weekend is busy, either with a programmed retreat or guest group(s).  Below are some things we have coming up:

Sept 14       Golf Tournament Fundraiser
Sept 21-23  Rejuvenate - Weekend for Women
