SUMMER IS COMING?

It is November 1st... Time is flying and winter is coming soon.  So it's kind of funny to think about right now, but summer is on our minds.  In fact, summer registration opened today and many are already getting signed up for camp next summer.  

People often ask, well what do you do all year?  Well, we run about 20 retreats, a bunch of events, host guest groups and plan for summer.  So there's not a lot of down time, more just planning time between busy seasons.  It's all good though, we love doing what we do and it's always good to have you visit us when you can.  

Getting back to summer, there will be just a few small changes this year.  We are adding a Senior High Adventure Trip to the North Shore, and adding a Father & Daughter Island camp.  We will also be opening up a week 9 to have more spots later in the summer.  Also, there are 3 weeks where Tenderfooters can combine the two half weeks camps and stay for the full week (5-Nights).  

To make sure we have enough staff, we have already started hiring for next summer.  We will continue to take applications and hire until positions are full which generally gets well into spring.  If you or someone you know should be serving at camp this summer, we have online apps at www.shamineau.org.  From finishing 8th grade to college age, we will need a couple hundred young people to help run camp for the summer.  So yah, summer is coming faster than we think.
